You need at least 8GB to be able to run macOS well and I would consider looking for one with 16GB of Ram if you can find one at a good price. I have 16GB in my iMac and I'm around 6GB - 8GB all the time doing basic stuff with a few Chrome Tabs, Calendar always running in the background, Twitter, Word, and sometimes PowerPoint which is my normal set of everyday apps which I use all the time now I'm working from home. 4GB is definetley not enough in 2020 even if you're only doing basic stuff. The Ram is not upgradable and I would always buy as much as you can afford when buying the machine.I think that model came with a 2.6GHz i5 instead of a 2.4GHz too.
The base model comes with only 4GB Ram and 128GB of SSD so I would try and find one with 8GB of Ram and 256GB of SSD. They're still pretty powerful starting with a Dual Core i5 Haswell and have held up really well over the past 6 years. These are probably the best MacBook Pro's you can buy on a budget whether you're wanting a 13" or a 15".I would always go with the Late 2013 MacBook Pro over a MacBook Air. iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch wallpapers. These belong in the beta subreddits listed below.
